The encoded protein is also a protooncogene and shown to be involved in regulation of telomerase. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the X chromosome. Binds specifically the DNA GGAA/T core motif (Ets-binding site or EBS) in gene promoters and stimulates transcription. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Similarity: Belongs to the ETS family.
