background: CTNNBIP1 (Catenin, beta interacting protein 1) binds to beta-catenin and prevents the interaction between beta-catenin and TCF transcription factor family members. It is a negative regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway. Function: Prevents the interaction between CTNNB1 and TCF family members, and acts as negative regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway. Subunit: Binds CTNNB1. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm (By similarity). Nucleus (By similarity). Similarity: Belongs to the CTNNBIP1 family.
