Serotonin (pronounced) (5-hydroxytryptamine, or 5-HT) is a monoamine neurotransmitter synthesized in serotonergic neurons in the central nervous system (CNS) and enterochromaffin cells in the gastrointestinal tract of animals including humans. Serotonin is also found in many mushrooms and plants, including fruits and vegetables. Function: Tryptophan is an amino acid occurring naturally in food. In the brain, it is converted to 5-hydroxy-tryptophan (5-HTP), which, in turn, is converted to serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter essential to regulating appetite, sleep, mood and pain levels. 5－羥色胺在神經(jīng)組織中有重要的功能，目前已肯定中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)有5－羥色胺能神經(jīng)元。5－羥色胺可使大部分交感神經(jīng)節(jié)前神經(jīng)元興奮，而使付交感節(jié)前神經(jīng)元抑制。常用于消化道神經(jīng)內(nèi)分泌細(xì)胞及其腫瘤的研究。5-羥色胺，又稱(chēng)血清素，由消化道EC細(xì)胞所分泌。 |

Antigen retrieval: citrate buffer ( 0.01M, pH 6.0 ), Boiling bathing for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% Hydrogen peroxide for 30min; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum,C-0005) at 37℃ for 20 min;
Incubation: Anti-5-HT Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated(bs-1126R) 1:200, overnight at 4°C, followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody(SP-0023) and DAB(C-0010) staining
